Qué datos tratamos, para qué, cuánto tiempo los guardamos y cómo ejercer tus derechos.
Lo más importante, primero: NekoStrip nunca accede a tu música ni la envía a ningún sitio. Todo el análisis de audio ocurre íntegramente en tu ordenador. Ni tus pistas, ni tus proyectos, ni sus nombres salen de tu equipo. Lo único que viaja a nuestro servidor es lo estrictamente necesario para que tu licencia funcione.
1. Quién es el responsable

2. Qué datos tratamos y por qué
a) Cuando compras y activas tu licencia

Base legal: la ejecución del contrato de compra (art. 6.1.b RGPD). Sin estos datos no podemos entregarte ni mantener tu licencia.
b) Si te suscribes al boletín
Solo si marcas la casilla y nos das voluntariamente tu email y tu nombre (este, para saludarte por él). Los usamos para avisarte de nuevas extensiones y de contenido de Ableton Live y producción musical: tutoriales, novedades del canal, actualizaciones y ofertas. Base legal: tu consentimiento (art. 6.1.a RGPD), que puedes retirar cuando quieras con el enlace de baja que lleva cada correo, sin que eso afecte a tu licencia ni a tu compra.
El boletín es completamente opcional: no hace falta suscribirse para comprar.
Lista de espera. Si te apuntas desde la página de requisitos, usamos tu email para una sola cosa: escribirte una vez cuando NekoStrip pueda funcionar en tu versión de Live. No es el boletín y no lo usamos para nada más. Base legal: tu consentimiento (art. 6.1.a RGPD), que puedes retirar cuando quieras con el enlace de baja del correo.
c) Si nos escribes a soporte
Tratamos lo que nos cuentes y tu dirección de correo, para responderte y resolver tu incidencia. Base legal: ejecución del contrato y la garantía legal, o nuestro interés legítimo en atender consultas de quien todavía no ha comprado.
Al pulsar Enviar mensaje en el formulario de soporte, tu mensaje y tu dirección de correo se envían a nuestro servidor (api.thetomcatmind.com), que los reenvía por email a nuestro buzón de soporte. No se guardan en ninguna base de datos: viven en ese correo y en nuestras respuestas. No hace falta que aceptes cookies ni que te registres, y la casilla de la política de privacidad que marcas antes de enviar queda anotada dentro del propio mensaje, para que ambos tengamos constancia.
Si prefieres no pasar por nuestro servidor, el formulario te deja también abrir el mensaje en tu propio programa de correo o copiarlo al portapapeles: en ese caso viaja por tu proveedor igual que cualquier correo que escribas tú.
3. Cookies y almacenamiento en tu navegador
Sin tu permiso no cargamos analítica ni pedimos nada a terceros. Por defecto solo
se guardan dos cosas, y ninguna sirve para seguirte: el idioma que eliges con el botón
ES/EN (nekolang) y tu propia decisión sobre las cookies
(cc_cookie). Ambas están exentas de consentimiento (art. 22.2 LSSI y
Guía de Cookies de la AEPD). Además, el sistema de protección de nuestro alojamiento
(Hostinger) puede poner una cookie técnica de seguridad en las raras ocasiones en que
comprueba que eres una persona y no un robot; también está exenta y tampoco sirve para
seguirte. Todas ellas existen porque sin ellas la web no puede recordar lo que tú mismo le
has pedido.
Si aceptas la categoría de analítica, cargamos Google Analytics 4 con la IP recortada, para saber qué páginas se leen. Si la rechazas, su script ni siquiera se descarga, y si retiras el permiso más tarde, borramos sus cookies. Base legal: tu consentimiento (art. 6.1.a RGPD).
Sigue sin haber píxeles de redes sociales ni tipografías cargadas desde servidores ajenos: Inter se sirve desde aquí. El detalle completo —nombres, duraciones y cómo cambiar de opinión— está en la Política de cookies, y puedes cambiar tu elección ahora mismo.
4. Qué NO hacemos
- No vendemos ni cedemos tus datos a terceros.
- No hacemos perfiles ni decisiones automatizadas con efectos jurídicos sobre ti.
- No rastreamos lo que haces dentro de Ableton Live.
- No accedemos a tu música, ni a los nombres de tus proyectos, ni a tus pistas.

Las transferencias fuera de la UE que puedan producirse en el caso de Stripe, Google (Analytics y YouTube) y GitHub se amparan en los mecanismos previstos en el Capítulo V del RGPD (cláusulas contractuales tipo y/o marcos de adecuación vigentes, como el Marco de Privacidad de Datos UE-EE. UU.).
6. Cuánto tiempo los guardamos
- Datos de licencia: mientras la licencia esté activa y hasta 5 años desde tu última actividad, para poder atender reclamaciones y obligaciones legales.
- Equipos desvinculados: se borran de inmediato en cuanto pulsas desvincular en tu panel de licencias.
- Boletín: hasta que te des de baja.
- Lista de espera: hasta que te enviemos el aviso, o antes si te das de baja.
- Correos de soporte: mientras dure la garantía legal de 2 años, para poder acreditar cómo se resolvió tu incidencia.
- Registros técnicos del servidor: un máximo de 90 días. Base legal: nuestro interés legítimo en mantener la web segura y detectar abusos (art. 6.1.f RGPD).
7. Tus derechos
Puedes ejercer los derechos de acceso, rectificación, supresión, oposición, limitación del tratamiento y portabilidad escribiendo a info@thetomcatmind.com. Te responderemos en el plazo de un mes.
Además, sin necesidad de escribirnos, en tu panel de licencias puedes ver en cualquier momento los equipos vinculados y desvincularlos tú mismo, lo que borra sus datos al instante.
Si consideras que no hemos atendido bien tu solicitud, puedes reclamar ante la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
8. Seguridad
La comunicación con nuestro servidor va siempre cifrada (HTTPS). El identificador de tu ordenador se guarda resumido con una función hash, nunca en claro. El acceso a la base de datos está restringido al responsable.
9. Cambios en esta política
Si la modificamos, publicaremos la nueva versión en esta misma dirección indicando su fecha. Si el cambio es sustancial y estás suscrito al boletín, te avisaremos por correo.
Privacy Policy
What data we process, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights.
The most important thing first: NekoStrip never accesses or uploads your music. All audio analysis happens entirely on your own computer. Neither your tracks, nor your projects, nor their names ever leave your machine. The only thing that reaches our server is what your licence strictly needs.

2. What we process, and why
a) When you buy and activate your licence

Legal basis: performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without this data we cannot deliver or maintain your licence.
b) If you subscribe to the newsletter
Only if you tick the box and voluntarily give us your email and your name (the latter, so we can greet you by it). We use them to tell you about new extensions and content about Ableton Live and music production: tutorials, channel news, updates and offers. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email, with no effect on your licence or your purchase.
The newsletter is entirely optional: you do not need to subscribe in order to buy.
Waiting list. If you sign up on the requirements page, we use your email for one thing only: to write to you once when NekoStrip can run on your version of Live. It isn't the newsletter and we don't use it for anything else. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in the email.
c) If you contact support
We process what you tell us and your email address, in order to reply and resolve your issue. Legal basis: performance of the contract and the legal guarantee, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries from people who haven't bought yet.
When you press Send message on the support form, your message and your email address are sent to our server (api.thetomcatmind.com), which forwards them by email to our support mailbox. They are not stored in any database: they live in that email and in our replies. No cookies and no account are needed, and the privacy-policy box you tick before sending is recorded inside the message itself, so both sides have a record of it.
If you would rather not go through our server, the form also lets you open the message in your own email program or copy it to the clipboard: in that case it travels through your provider like any other message you write.
3. Cookies and browser storage
Without your permission we load no analytics and ask nothing of third parties.
By default only two things are stored, and neither can track you: the language you pick
with the ES/EN button (nekolang) and your own decision about cookies
(cc_cookie). Both are exempt from consent (Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI
and the Spanish DPA's cookie guide). On top of that, our hosting
provider's protection system (Hostinger) may set a technical security cookie on the
rare occasions it checks that you're a person and not a bot; it's exempt too and can't track
you either. They all exist because without them the site cannot remember what you asked it
to.
If you accept the analytics category, we load Google Analytics 4 with your IP truncated, to know which pages get read. If you decline, its script isn't even downloaded, and if you withdraw permission later we delete its cookies. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).
There are still no social pixels and no fonts loaded from anyone else's servers: Inter is served from here. The full detail — names, lifetimes and how to change your mind — is in the Cookie Policy, and you can change your choice right now.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- We do not profile you or make automated decisions with legal effects.
- We do not track what you do inside Ableton Live.
- We do not access your music, your project names, or your tracks.
5. Who else processes this data

Any transfers outside the EU that may occur with Stripe, Google (Analytics and YouTube) and GitHub rely on the mechanisms set out in Chapter V GDPR (standard contractual clauses and/or the applicable adequacy frameworks, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
6. How long we keep it
- Licence data: while the licence is active and for up to 5 years after your last activity, to handle claims and legal obligations.
- Unbound devices: deleted immediately when you unbind them from your licence panel.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Waiting list: until we send you the notice, or earlier if you unsubscribe.
- Support emails: for the duration of the 2-year legal guarantee, so we can show how your issue was resolved.
- Server technical logs: a maximum of 90 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and detecting abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to info@thetomcatmind.com. We will reply within one month.
In addition, without having to write to us, at your licence panel you can see the devices linked to your licence at any time and unbind them yourself, which deletes their data instantly.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
8. Security
Communication with our server is always encrypted (HTTPS). Your computer's identifier is stored hashed, never in the clear. Database access is restricted to the controller.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change it, we will publish the new version at this same address with its date. If the change is substantial and you are subscribed to the newsletter, we will tell you by email.
